About The Event
Join Farmer Kathleen and Chef Ollie George for their second annual G.O.A.T class! You will learn about raising and milking goats, animal husbandry, and some Compton history. Chef Ollie will teach you how to make fresh goat cheese and how to infuse with signature marinades and pestos. The afternoon will include fun cooking and individual plating demos with some participation opportunities, and a delicious, generous lunch featuring farm produce and class-made deliciousness.
This is a small outdoor event limited to 10 people only. Masks are required for entry and social distancing can be easily set up for visitors even while eating.
Welcoming appetizer of cheese plate featuring Farmer Kathleen's fresh mozzarella and chèvre with accouterments on Chef Ollie's goat butter and herb-infused focaccia. (Yes there will be extra goat butter for you to enjoy!)
An exploration of 6 goat cheeses
Gnocchi demonstration with quick, herbaceous sauce
An abundance of fall harvest farm vegetables and fruits incorporated as sides and accouterments.
Goat milk panna cotta with Ollie's signature 10-hour cajeta (caramel)
All recipes and instructions included.
2 drink tickets per guest. If you want to go beyond the 2 drinks there is a Cash/Venmo bar (21+ are also welcome to BYOB: This year we are pairing it all with hard booch or sangria for 21+, a selection of wines for pairing, or Italian soda with fresh made simple syrup, and infused water for all.
Teenagers 12 and up are welcome.
