Now based in Los Angeles, Marisol Tamez has been with the CoCo family since 2011, during which she served as the organization’s Executive Director until 2013. Her time in this multi-faceted role provided hands-on experience in various areas of nonprofit management, which helped to catapult the organization to national recognition by producing grassroots fundraising events yielding more than $140,000, while mobilizing a pool of over 200 trained volunteers in schools, shelters, foster homes and rehab centers throughout South Florida.

In 2017, Marisol's deep passion for service led her back home as CoCo’s Community Manager, now booking, marketing and leading the organization's Trauma Informed trainings across the US, while empowering National Street Teams in their outreach efforts.
